Hand-spun and woven by Nepalese women, this Nettle washcloth can be used as an exfoliating care tool. It takes advantage of the strong yet lightweight properties of nettle fibre.
This washcloth has a natural loop for hanging and drying, making it practical for daily use. The openwork pattern allows for good lathering with soap while providing mild exfoliation.
Handwoven by skilled Nepali women, this versatile cloth is crafted from durable and lightweight Himalayan nettle fiber (Allo), sourced from the stalks of Girardinia diversifolia plants native to the Himalayan region. Nettle plants grow at altitudes of 1,500–3,000 meters on high mountain slopes.
The natural colours of Himalayan nettle fibre vary, ranging from cream and beige to grey and light brown. These subtle, earthy tones reflect the unique characteristics of the plant and traditional processing, giving every cloth a distinct, organic appearance.
